A door can be built using 10 x 2ft poles. The end result resembles a 4 rung ladder. The door is 2ft wide and just over 6 ft tall. All corners are formed using 90 Degree Bends. Joints up the sides of the door require T Pieces. Each door requires 4 x 90 Degree Bends and 4 x T Pieces. To achieve a good result, it is important to build the door carefully keeping all connections straight and all connectors undamaged.
Complete the cage before fitting the door. An additional T Piece is required to fix the door jamb to the existing framework. Use 15mm double pipe clips to serve as hinges and a catch. A grub screw through the fixed end of the clip to the pole and a drop of lubricant on the turning end may be useful. Fix the hinge side of the door to a vertical pole, vertical not leaning, fit the third hinge as a catch opposite and then decide exactly where the spare 8ft pole provided to act as the door jamb should be placed. Put a T Piece into the top of the door jamb and then push the pole into the ground to match the existing framework, ensuring it is exactly parallel to the side of the door. Cut about an inch out of the lateral pole above to admit the T Piece.
